APRIL 7 – JUNE 9, 2007

(8 sessions and presentation)

AGES 10-18

Three 40-minute classes each Saturday in acting, music and movement. The class culminates in a presentation and reception for family and friends.

Seven Angels Theatre Saturday morning classes are modeled on our acclaimed Summer Theatre Camp program, which was founded in 1992, and was the first summer youth theatre camp established in the region. The objective of Seven Angels youth training programs, which differ from many other theatre-training programs, is to focus on building confidence and self-esteem in young people, while having fun and learning about the performing arts at the same time. The focus is not about putting on a “show” or creating stars. Through vocal and physical training, improvisation and scene study students develop new self-confidence and better communication skills. 

The program is led by Seven Angels Artistic Director Semina DeLaurentis and a team of theatre professionals, whose teaching techniques are centered on energy-based training that strives for creativity, discipline, teamwork, and personal growth rather than creating “stars” or putting on a performance.  Students are exposed to theatre disciplines in acting, movement and music. With the highest caliber of training students explore their innate talents for creative expression while having fun. No experience is necessary
