Annual Appeal 2026

This year marks the 36th year of Seven Angels Theatre - it is a milestone that reminds us of all the good we have done, and the strides we have made to bring excellent and inspiring theatre to Greater Waterbury and New Haven County.

 

Change isn’t easy. When I took the helm in June 2025, I knew I would have my work cut out for me. In my short tenure, we have achieved quite a bit! Through our first two 2025-26 MainStage Season shows, we have received rave reviews from the Connecticut Critics Circle (CCC). We are on track to receive more reviews from the CCC than the past two years (with 2023-2025 garnering 16, and this season receiving 11). Also, through both our Equity and Community performances, we have welcomed 26 brand new performers and technical creatives to our stage. For our Spotlight Concert Series, we welcomed five new acts, from our very first gospel concert with Quinn Mitchell and Friends to a honky tonk bluegrass bonanza with Billy Boucher’s Bluegrass Band.

 

So what’s on the horizon? The possibilities are endless (with your support). We are excited to announce new education programs, new works and shows, and expansion of opportunities Seven Angels has to offer. However, we need your help to make these a reality. Our theatre relies on the generous support of friends like you; friends who love the arts, are passionate about theatre education, and support the arts community. We have even refreshed our donor levels for the first time in nearly a decade. Some levels include access to an exclusive event in May, where we will unveil our new season, plans, and exclusive performances.

As the only professional regional theatre company in the Greater Waterbury area, we will continue to produce vitally important arts education, inspiring performances, and bring the community together in unimaginable ways. Who knows, you may even be here for the beginning of the next award-winning play, musical, or cabaret!

 

This is only the beginning of what I hope will be a long-lasting ride! So hop in, we have an incredible journey ahead!
